Võtmekeskus is Estonia's largest key-making workshop, operating both a physical location and an e-commerce store. The project required building a high-performance online store capable of handling over 10,000 SKUs across automotive keys, locks, and security products.
Challenge
With 10,000+ SKUs spanning automotive keys, transponder programming tools, locks, and security equipment, the catalog size presented significant performance and search challenges. Customers needed to find the exact key blank or programming tool for their specific vehicle.
The store serves both Estonian and Russian-speaking customers, requiring full bilingual support including product descriptions, checkout, and customer communication. Page speed with such a large catalog was a critical concern.
Solution
We built the store on WooCommerce with the Shoptimizer theme optimized for large catalogs. AJAX-powered search provides instant results as customers type, while smart category filtering helps narrow down from 10,000+ products to the exact item needed.
Breeze caching ensures fast page loads despite the catalog size. The bilingual implementation covers Estonian and Russian with full product and checkout translation. The store integrates with the physical workshop's inventory for real-time availability.
