Industrial repair services platform — Astro, Strapi CMS, dual-axis SEO with translated URL slugs and Service schema
Adretec is an Estonian industrial repair company serving marine, energy, pulp and paper, power plant, and mining sectors. Their service catalog spans 11 specialist disciplines — laser cladding, CNC machining, 3D scanning, on-site machining, engine overhaul, and more — each relevant to a different industry segment and a different kind of buyer. The goal was a site that works as a genuine lead generation tool: findable for specific service queries, navigable by industry context, and fully manageable by the Adretec team in two languages without developer involvement.
Challenge
Industrial B2B buyers search in two distinct ways: by what they need done ("laser cladding service Estonia") or by the sector they operate in ("marine engine repair"). A flat service list satisfies neither — the site needed two parallel entry points into the same content.
Content maintenance was a bottleneck. The team needed to update project portfolios, service descriptions, and certifications in both Estonian and English independently. Translated URLs added complexity: Estonian slugs (/et/teenused/laser-keevitus/) had to be semantically correct, not just translated page titles on English-language paths.
Solution
Built on Astro with Strapi as a headless CMS, the site gives the Adretec team full editorial autonomy over bilingual content — including Strapi's draft preview before publishing. The structure separates services (/services/) and industries (/industries/) as parallel navigation axes, so a marine engineer and a procurement manager reach the same service capability through different paths.
Every service page carries a Service schema with an Organization provider — giving Google structured signals for service-specific queries. Estonian URLs use properly translated slugs (/et/teenused/laser-keevitus/) rather than locale-prefixed English paths, which preserves keyword relevance in Estonian search. Images are automatically served in WebP with responsive srcsets.
